Sales Manager/Machine operator

Carole worked in high pressure environments in the construction industry until 2012, then moved into aerospace at managerial and board level.

In 2018, Carole established Needles and Pins (UK) Ltd based in Somerton.

She has a wealth of financial knowledge and expertise and has nurtured the company to be one of the fore runners in supplying Ground Support Equipment for the South West of England.

Whilst each day brings new challenges and opportunities for this thriving company, Carole took the opportunity to co-found another exciting company to help improve the current environmental issues in the UK.

Tim spent his working life associated with many fields of construction, including senior management roles and owning his own businesses.

Carole, his wife, deemed he should not have a quiet retirement so persuaded him to establish this eco-friendly company with her.

Marta joined the team in August 2020 as a sewing machinist and has taken on the role of Sales Manager.

She has helped promote the business by going out into the local community and surrounding areas, enabling her to meet potential clients and build strong connections.

Our clients enjoy Marta’s warm and friendly personality allowing them to be relaxed and confident in their dealings with Cartim Recyclables.

She is fluent in two languages, Polish and English which she has found valuable when meeting with potential clients. She is the proud owner of two beautiful dogs and in her spare time she enjoys walking and reading.

CARTIM Recyclables specialises in recyclable ‘plastic’, using a material called Polyair™, derived from sugar cane waste. The launch of our Recyclable Gown collection is designed for professionals in the personal care industry, such as hairdressers and barbers, with new client receiving a certificate stating that for every 100kg of Polyair™ used, 260kg of CO2 is prevented from entering the atmosphere.

CARTIM Recyclables is the sister company to Needles and Pins (UK) Ltd and Tica Lily. All of our products are sourced from within the UK, which enables us to manufacture a completely British product. Our small team cut and pack our products in our Somerton factory, then deliver and collect used items from our clients for recycling.

Sustainability is at the heart of what we do and by encouraging others to make more educated and sustainable choices, we hope to help reduce the amount of waste going to landfill and dramatically reduce our carbon footprint. We aim to offer an affordable solution to professionals and businesses looking to make a greener change.
